These Watermelon Popsicles are the perfect summer treat. Easy to make, refreshing and delicious.
These watermelon popsicles recipe is easy to make and only requires 3 ingredients, popsicles molds and a blender.
Popsicles are a delicious dessert any time of year, but especially when you want something frozen and creamy without breaking out the ice cream maker.
How to Make Watermelon Popsicles
In a blender, combine the watermelon and water. Blend and pulse quickly, until just the watermelon has broken down – this should take about 60 seconds.
Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl to remove the seeds.
Return the strained watermelon juice to the blender and add the condensed milk. Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into the molds.
If using cups, you’ll need to insert wooden popsicle sticks. Freeze for about 4 hours, or until firm.
If you don't have popsicles molds just use small cups. After pouring in the watermelon popsicle mixture, cover the cups with plastic wrap and place the stick through the plastic.
Tips for Picking the Perfect Watermelon
You should look for a yellow ground spot. It should feel firm and heavy for its size.
Storage Instructions
Wrap each frozen popsicle with plastic wrap and place in an airtight bag or container.
How many Popsicles does this recipe make?
It depends on the size of your popsicles molds. This recipe makes 6 popsicles using my molds.
When I think of warm weather in Colombia, I can't help but think of watermelon and paletas (popsicles). Making paletas at home is not only a lot of fun, but we can make whatever flavor we are craving.
I had some watermelon on the counter and I decided to make my kids a frozen treat, and these watermelon popsicles were a hit. Even my husband couldn't stop eating them, saying they were the best popsicles he ever had!
I am an all-year-round paletas girl, but they seem to taste better during the summer, and with the huge selection of summer fruit, your choices of flavors are many. These simple watermelon popsicles were one of our favorite paleta flavors this summer.
